Beverly - Beverly - William "Bill" Spencer Boucher of Beverly, formerly of Newburyport, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Beverly Hospital.

Bill was born in Newburyport on June 16, 1951 to the late William H. and Dorothy (Spencer) Boucher. He graduated from Newburyport High School in 1969 and studied Pharmacy at Northeastern University graduating in 1974.

Bill worked as a pharmacist at Mass General and Anna Jacques Hospitals and later changed careers to become a research technician. He worked in pharmacology laboratories at Tufts University for over 25 years. He enjoyed working with other scientists and students in the lab and was very proud of the 60+ articles in scientific journals that he contributed to during his time at Tufts. A motor vehicle accident led to his early retirement in 2009.

Bill enjoyed watching sports, especially the Red Sox, and loved to attend baseball games in different cities when traveling to visit family. He loved spending time with family, doting on the family cats, and entertaining everyone with his quirky sense of humor.

Bill was predeceased by his brother Mark S. Boucher. Bill is survived by his sister Diane M. Boucher and husband Ralph Peteranderl of Hamilton. He is also survived by his nieces Jennifer Ehrlich and husband Michael of Yorktown, VA, Jessica Armendariz and husband Michael of Raeford, NC, Angelique Koszuta and husband Ted of Caledonia, WI, Katarina Peteranderl of Hamilton, MA, and nephew Joshua Gurney of Newburyport, MA.

A celebration of life service will be held for the family at a later date. The Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950 is assisting Mr. Boucher's family with his arrangements.
