Vito T. Augusta Obituary

Amesbury, MA - Vito T. Augusta, 73, of Amesbury, Mass., and formerly of Salem, N.H., left this earth on April 9, 2018. Vito was born on April 28, 1944, to Anna (Conte) Augusta and Gaetano Augusta. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Joan (Constantineau) Augusta; his daughter and son-in-law Nicole and Bruce Page of Newburyport; and his beloved granddaughters Madeline and Faith Page with whom he loved to spend time. The grandchildren affectionately referred to him as "Nanu." 

Vito graduated from Central Catholic High School, and also from New Hampshire College. Vito honorably served in the U.S. Army, and later operated Insurance Solutions in Plaistow, N.H., for many years with Carmen Maglia before retiring.


Vito will be greatly missed for his kindness, humor and awesome personality. He also leaves behind three sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, two goddaughters and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews, as well as cousins, many friends and acquaintances. 

The family would like to thank the Merrimack Valley Hospice for their compassionate care.


Family and friends may call on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Conte Funeral Home, 17 3rd Street, North Andover, MA 01845. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday 11:30 a.m. at St. Michael Church, 196 Main St., North Andover, MA 01845. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.

Memorial contributions in Vito's memory may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
