Seabrook - Seabrook - Virginia "Ginny" Louise (Bragg) Small, 92, a lifelong resident of Seabrook, New Hampshire, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. She was born on June 28, 1932, in Newburyport, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Judge Ralph O. Bragg and Elizabeth H (Wilmot) and is predeceased by her husband of 25 years, Donald N. Small, in 1974.

Ginny attended the Sanborn School, Dearborn Academy and Amesbury High School earning her GED in 1990. While in high school, she was a majorette as well as a waitress at the Ye Cocke and Kettle Restaurant where she many times earned more money in tips than her father earned as a judge! She later served as the Town Clerk of Seabrook for over 34 years preceding her parents who had also held the position. While registering vehicles, obtaining marriage licenses, birth and death certificates, the residents of Seabrook could always count on a warm smile, a laugh and a listening ear whether it be at her home where she held the original work from home office, the fire barn and lastly the Seabrook Town Hall where the town clerk's office resided during her tenure.

Throughout her career as Town Clerk, Ginny was also a Justice of the Peace (JP). During her time as a JP, she officiated upwards of 1,000 marriages from the 1960's to the early 2000's, the majority of whom were married in her home.

Ginny was actively involved in her community throughout her life. She was a member of the Trinity United Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, Treasurer, Trustee, Deacon and on the Women's Fellowship. She served on the committee for the construction of the Trinity United parish house and parsonage on Folly Mill Road and co-chaired the annual harvest supper up until 2020 where she was well known for her Indian Pudding; a recipe passed down from her mother. In recent years, she attended the Four Corners Church where her son Bruce is the Pastor, she was a member of the Seabrook Historical Society where her son Eric is the President, the Lions Club, the Seabrook PTO, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Happy Seniors.

Ginny loved many things throughout her life including her many friends, gardening, cooking, baking, crocheting, braiding rugs, but most of all, she loved to dance! Her love of dancing started at the OUAM Hall, a ballroom dance hall next door to her childhood home on Lafayette Road. This eventually evolved into line dancing which she participated in up until the pandemic of 2020.

Of all the things Ginny loved, her family was the love of her life! She is survived by her four children, Eric Small, Bruce Small, Aaron Small and his wife, Doriann, and Jennifer and her husband, Peter Talas, Jr.; six grandchildren, Shane, Courtney, Jacob, Lucas, Cole and Sean; three great grandsons, Logan, William and Sebastian as well as a great granddaughter who is expected to arrive in March. She also leaves behind her two kitties, Jack and Puddin'.

Visitation will be held from 4pm to 7pm on Thursday, December 5, at the Remick and Gendron Funeral Home – Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton, New Hampshire. Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Friday, December 6 at Trinity United Church, 103 Lafayette Road, Seabrook. Burial to immediately follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Lafayette Road, Seabrook.
