Methuen, Massachusetts - Methuen, Massachusetts - Thomas J. "Magilla" Lafoe, 56, of Methuen, passed away on Saturday, December 28th, 2019 at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.

He was born in Newburyport, Ma. on November 6, 1963, son of Maxine (Mitchell) and John Leary. Thomas was educated in the local schools and was a graduate of Newburyport High School, where he was an All Star Basket Ball Player. He worked for almost 30 years in Plant Operations and other various positions for Columbia Gas Company. Thomas was a member of the Newburyport Elks Club, the Concordia Social Club, and the Lawrence British Club. He enjoyed his two weeks in Cancun, traveling to Lake George, hanging around the pool with family and close friends especially his grandchildren. His family members include his wife Cheryl A. (Daigle) Lafoe of Methuen; daughter, Andrea Barbosa of Methuen; son and his fiancee, A.J. Lafoe and Ashley Harris of Methuen; daughter, Courtney Lafoe of Dorchester; sister, Pam Romanowski and her husband John of Merrimac; brother, Ronald Leary of Hampton, NH.; sister, Candy Rogers and her husband, Ronald of Newburyport; brother, Terry Leary and his wife Amy of Newburyport; grandchildren, Jazmyn, Morghyn, Jakekub, Ethan, Maddox and Mason, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Thomas is predeceased by his father Alfred Lafoe.

Relatives and friends may call on Monday, January 6th, 2020 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence.
