Salem - Stephen C. Flynn, 35, of Salem, died April 13, 2022, in his sleep. He was born in Beverly on August 11, 1986, to Leonard P. and Doris A. (Malette) Flynn Jr. of Rowley.
Stephen was raised in Rowley. He was a 2005 graduate of St. John's Preparatory School in Danvers and a 2010 graduate of Northeastern University. After graduation he worked for MFS Investment Management in Boston and Lazard Asset Management in NYC. He had recently started working at Allianz Global Investors, also in NYC.
Stephen was a talented, curious and smart guy with many hobbies and interests. He loved playing hockey. He played for Triton Youth Hockey when young and the Exeter, NH, Sea Wolves in high school. He was an avid snowboarder. He was very creative and expressed that creativity in his cooking, woodworking, painting and electronics hobbies. He loved traveling. He read extensively and could converse with anyone and everyone. He dearly loved his family and friends.
He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his maternal grandmother Marjorie (Bailey) Malette; his older brother Kevin and his wife Missy (Jackman) Flynn of North Andover; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Henry Malette; and paternal grandparents Leonard P. and Margaret L. (Slattery) Flynn.
Stephen's funeral services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you do a random act of kindness in his memory. Arrangements by the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly. Information, directions, condolences at www.campbellfuyneral.com.
