Kingston, NH - Kingston, NH - Shirley A. Tripp, 84, died on August 30, 2019 at Port Healthcare in Newburyport.

She was born on January 29, 1935 in Boston, MA, the daughter of the late Cecil R. and Ann (Drury) Wood.

The widow of the late Paul C. Tripp who died in 2010, she was also predeceased by her sister Anne Wood. She was formerly employed many years as a secretary in the social service department at Anna Jacques Hospital in Newburyport. She served on the Lyndon Johnson Inaugural Committee and was a former member of the Kingston Highway Commission.

She travelled the Eastern Seaboard as the manager of her husband's band, Paul Tripp and the Knights. She also loved animals and was a supporter of many animal charities.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter, NH. Private Interment will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to either the NH SPCA, PO Box 196, Stratham, NH, 03885 or to the Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society, 63 Elm St., Salisbury, MA 01952.
