LOWELL - LOWELL - Sheila Farley Patton, 65, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at the High Point House in Haverhill. Sheila was born in Lowell on November 24, 1958, a daughter of the late Thomas B. Farley and Beatrice (Scott) Farley. Sheila grew up in the Grove section of Lowell, graduating from the Sacred Heart Grammar School and Lowell High School. Sheila worked at Lallas Buick in Lowell. She moved to Woodbridge, Virginia, where she worked for Temple Buick in Alexandria, Virginia, and then 19 years at the Southern Bell Phone Company in Arlington, Virginia. She married Douglas Patton, making their home in Darby, Pennsylvania, and Dumfries, Virginia. After the death of her husband in 2004, Sheila returned to Massachusetts, making her home at Salisbury Beach. Sheila loved being at the beach with cousins and family, and made many friends there. Sheila is survived by her sisters. Anne Farley and her husband Phil Shea of Lowell and Salisbury, Kathleen (Kate) Farley of Methuen and Ennis, Ireland, Patricia and Ed Shupp of Fairfax, Virginia, brother, Thomas L. Farley of Fredericksburg, Virginia; special cousin Diane Nolet and special niece Amber Nowell and lifelong friend Eileen Weiss. She is survived by nieces and nephews, Thomas B. Farley II, Rebecca Hulun, Rachel Gray, Richard Green, Christine Allmon, Maureen Chaisson, Roger S. Chaisson and many loving cousins. Sheila was predeceased by her husband Douglas Patton, her parents Thomas and Beatrice Farley, sister, Maureen Farley Chaisson Dubay, and lifelong friend Debbie Perely Wolochuk.
FAMILY AND FRIENDS ARE INVITED TO THE FAY McCABE FUNERAL HOME, 105 MOORE STREET, LOWELL, ON SATURDAY, MAY 4, 2024 FROM 11 AM UNTIL 1PM. FUNERAL PRAYERS WILL BE OFFERED DURING THE VISITING HOURS.
