Newburyport - Newburyport - Roger D.J. Pollard, age 63, of Newburyport, MA, passed on Tuesday morning, August 26, 2025, at 8:13 AM in Oxford Rehab and Nursing Home of Haverhill.

Born in Newburyport, on October 2, 1961, he was the son of the late Charles Ashton and Patricia (Little) Pollard and went to Newburyport High School.

Roger was a proud veteran, having served with the United States Marine Corps, United States Army and the United States National Guard. After his military service, he was a hard worker and became a plumber, working for Simmons Plumbing and Heating for many years. He also worked on many different projects from carpentry, HVAC, demolition and anything you needed to work on to help you out.

In his spare time, he loved his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, loved routing for the Patriots and Raiders (the most), Red Sox and Yankees (the most) and always watched a Celtics game. Loved his many dogs, Always loved his Pitbulls with all his heart, and was an avid fan of movies and time enjoying company, loved Newburyport, and above all else, he was deeply devoted to his family.

He is survived by his daughter; Brenda Moran and husband Doug; a son, Andrew Pollard and wife Allison; and his former wife, Sheila Roy; three brothers, Bruce Pollard, Herb Pollard and wife Janis, and Daniel Pollard and wife Kellie; four sisters, Polly Pollard, Mary Pollard and Grace Pollard, and Dorothy Pollard ; six grandchildren, Calvin, Cody, Charlee, Cricket and Cashel Moran and Penny Pollard. He will be greatly missed by his close friends Charles Robinson, Patrick McAniff and Dennis O'Sullivan. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by sister Abby Pollard, brothers, George Pollard, Pete Pollard and John Pollard; step brothers, Chuck, Dick and Donny.

A private Graveside Service will be held at a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery, where Roger will be laid to eternal rest along with his parents. Arrangements were made with Elliott, Woodworth & Rogers Family Funeral Home, 35 Green Street, Newburyport, MA 01950.
