Robert S. Parks Obituary
Groveland - With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Robert S. Parks, 49, beloved husband of Sandra. He passed away suddenly on April 26, 2023 at his home in Groveland, MA.
Rob was born and raised in Newburyport, MA. He ws predeceased by his father John "Jack" Parks and survived by his mother, Carol O'Bara. His family members also include his brother Michael Parks and wife, Jennifer and their three children, sister Stefanie Parks and her two children.
Rob attended the Immaculate Conception Grammar School and was a graduate of St. John's Prep, in Danvers, Class of 1991.
In 2007 Rob married the love of his life, Sandra, and they settled in Groveland.
Rob spent a lot of time planning travel adventures with Sandra. One of his very favorite places to visit was Italy, where they were married. They traveled throughout Italy's different regions, as well as all over the world, always in search of new experiences and adventures. But by far, Rob's favorite place was his home with Sandra. He was his happiest there; hosting dinner parties, sitting by the porch fire with family and friends, listening to music, tending to his yard and talking with Sandra about all the places he wanted to travel to and the experiences and memories he wanted them to create together.
He was a self-taught chef and loved to share his talent with his family and friends. He was the most thoughtful, kind and generous person and loved to bring people together around the table to enjoy amazing food, choice wines, laughter and conversation. If there wasn't any particular reason to celebrate something or someone, he found one!
On any given weekend during the warmer months, he could be found at Lake Winnipesaukee on the boat or floating on the lake. He was known as the family's grill master, campfire builder, and social director.
Constantly searching to improve his swing, golf was another one of his passions. Although the course didn't always cooperate as he had hoped, he found joy and camaraderie with all his golf buddies.
Rob played a very active and loving role to all his 13 nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
