Center Ossipee, NH - Robert L. Hughes, age 64, currently living in Center Ossipee, NH, passed away at his home on Sunday, August 11, 2019.

Born in Beverly, Mass. on June 20, 1955. After graduating from Masconomet High School he enlisted in the United States Army where he served as a Miltary Police Patrolman from January of 1975 to January of 1981. He worked for many years as a store manager for Cumberland Farms in Amesbury. He also worked as a part-time police officer for South Hampton and East Kingston, NH. After moving to Florida in 1999 he worked as an equipment operator and supervisor for the City of Palm Coast.

He enjoyed scuba diving, boating, camping, and spending time with his family and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, June L. (Merrill) and Dermont V. Hughes, his brother Melvin W. Hughes, and daughter Jessica L. Hughes.

In addition to his wife of 40 years Darlene (Niles) Hughes, Robert leaves behind his daughter, Samantha (Hughes) Robles and son-in-law, Ricky Robles of Palm Coast, Fla., and his daughter, Shelby Hughes and son-in-law Robert Martell Jr. of Center Ossipee, NH. Three grandchildren Alexis Robles, Ethan Robles of Palm Coast, FL and Rylee Martell of Center Ossipee, NH all of whom are very special to him; as well as extended family and dear friends.
