Amesbury - Richard L. Valli, 78, of Amesbury passed away on Tuesday, September 26, in Georgetown.

Richard was born in Newburyport on November 22, 1944, to Frank S. and Beatrice M. (Goodrich) Valli. He was a graduate of Newburyport High School, Class of 1961 after which he spent many years as a chemist for Tychons USA. Richard was a fan of the Red Sox and Patriots. He was an amazing father and grandfather. He loved his family and inspired happiness. Always smiling and cracking jokes. He was known as "the mayor" in his community. A selfless man. Always had a plan or a prank with intent of making you laugh and smile. He will be greatly missed by all whose life he touched. Dad will be forever in our hearts.

Richard is survived by his daughter Gail B. Valli and her Wife Jennifer M. True, of Georgetown. He also leaves behind a sister Jean A. Morrison, of Seabrook, NH; grandchildren Monica Roche and great grand children Zeidalyz Casado and Solistice Casado. Richard was predeceased by his brothers Frank Valli Jr., John Valli, and Robert Valli and grandson Christopher Roche.
