Georgetown - Paul L. Tariot, 72, husband of Nancy E. (Roberts) Tariot, passed away suddenly last Monday evening, March 28, 2022.

Formerly of Haverhill, Newburyport, and North Andover, Paul is remembered by his family for his love of the beach, devotion to his family, and his unique spontaneity that kept the Tariot family always on their toes.

A retired attorney with a repertoire of bad lawyer jokes, Paul most recently dedicated his time to volunteer activities benefiting the communities in which he lived, most recently with The SHINE Program (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Everyone) and providing tax preparation guidance to Medicare recipients. While living in North Andover he was very involved in his children's sporting and scouting exploits, served as a member of the town's Conservation Commission, and was active in annual town hall meetings. Paul enjoyed bestowing his wealth of arcane knowledge—which continued to accumulate with each passing year—upon his growing family, including his four grandsons. Having just recently celebrated his 72nd birthday, Paul expressed a hope to travel more. He reminisced about past trips with Nancy such as their honeymoon in Bermuda, visits to Paris, and a 2009 tour of Egypt. Paul and Nancy were looking forward to celebrating their 48th wedding anniversary this May.

A devoted husband, father, brother, and uncle, Paul will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his loving wife Nancy, he is survived by his daughter Erin; son Zack (and wife Nikkie); daughter Nicole (and husband Matt); and his much beloved grandchildren: Peter, Sam, Brewer, and Henry. He is also survived by brothers Pierre and John; and several nieces and nephews, all of whom he adored. Paul was a graduate of England's Halliford School, Weston High School, Brown University (class of 1972) and Case Western Reserve Law School (class of 1975).
