Pamela A Crisafi Obituary

Salisbury - Pamela Anne (Shairs) Crisafi returned to her heavenly home on February 27, 2025. Born in Beverly, MA on June 26, 1955 to Michael J. Shairs, Sr. and Dorothy L. (Hinckley) Shairs, she was the sixth of 10 children. It was obvious from the very beginning, however, that Pam was one of a kind. Blessed with beauty, a deep faith, a quick wit, a wonderful vocabulary, a love of reading, an unshakable loyalty to all of the Boston sports teams, and an unforgettable laugh, Pam made friends wherever she went.

A graduate of Beverly High School, Class of 1973, Pam began working at New England Divers in Beverly and then soon transferred to the company's San Diego Office.

Returning to Beverly in 1978, she welcomed her first child, Nicholas, that summer. While working various jobs, she attended Essex Agricultural and Technical Institute (now Essex North Shore – Agricultural & Technical School) where she received her certificate in cosmetology in 1980. She was hired as a hairstylist at Cutter's Gallery, a hair salon in Beverly, the following year.

Soon after, she met the love of her life, John A. Crisafi, and their families were blended when they married on September 7, 1985. Nicholas gained an older brother in Matthew J. Crisafi, John's son, and after moving to Salisbury, they were blessed with two more boys: Anthony G. Crisafi and William M. Crisafi.

Pam moved to another hair salon, Reflections, also in Beverly, in 1990, and did a phenomenal job balancing her duties as wife, mother, and hairdresser over the next 15 years. In the early 1990s, Pam also began working part time from home for Keiser Systems, a technology company. That grew into a full-time position as she became a buyer for the company, staying with them after they were acquired by Excelitas Technologies, and retired in December of 2024.

What she will most be remembered for, however, is one thing: Love.

While she was beautiful, generous, selfless, hard-working, faithful, feminine, tough, intelligent, and hilarious, above all, she fiercely loved her family. Whether it was a quiet date with John, talking or watching sports with Nick, helping Anthony with his various entrepreneurial enterprises, serving as a model for Bill's fantastic costumes, or delighting in the performances of her grandchildren, Pam exuded love for them and her myriad friends and relatives in every way.

She is reunited in Heaven with her parents as well as her siblings who went before her: Mike, George, Chuck, Paul, Marilyn, and Buddy. Pam is deeply missed by a large community of friends and family that includes her husband, John, of Salisbury, children Nicholas and Piper Crisafi of North Palm Beach, FL, Matthew and Kellie Crisafi of Salisbury, Anthony Crisafi of Salisbury, Bill Crisafi and his partner, Hogan McLaughlin, of Chicago, IL, grandchildren, Briley, Cadence, Jacen, and Evrynn Crisafi of North Palm Beach, FL, Raven Crisafi of Salisbury, Matthew Crisafi, Jr. of Salisbury, and siblings John Shairs and Wendy Flemister-Shairs of Danvers, Diane M. Capozzi of Beverly, Joseph and Jayne Shairs of Beverly, numerous nieces and nephews, and her two dogs, Gigi and Mona.

Her funeral will be at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot St. Beverly, MA, on Saturday, March 8 at 4 p.m. followed by a reception at the Danversport Yacht Club. Visitation will be held the same day from 3 to 4 p.m. Please visit www.CampbellFuneral.com for information, directions, and condolences.
