Newburyport - Pamela N. (Nason) Baggs, 77, of Newburyport, passed away with her family by her side Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston.

Born on March 25, 1947, she was the daughter of Phillip and Edith (Dow) Nason of Haverhill, MA.

Pam grew up in Haverhill and was a graduate of Haverhill High School class of 1965. She then graduated from Lowell State College in 1969 with a degree in education.

Pam married Frank H. Baggs, her husband of 53 years, on June 27, 1971. They resided and raised their family in Reading, MA. In 2005, they moved to Newburyport.

Pam worked as an educator, first in the Haverhill Public Schools, and later at Killam School in Reading, MA. During her time in Reading, she was an active member of The First Congregational Church of Reading. She was also heavily involved within the Reading community and as a parent in the Reading Public Schools.

In Newburyport, she worked at The Cottage downtown, and was active within the Newburyport Senior Community Center.

Pam mostly loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed nature and particularly the seashore. Pam enjoyed traveling, collecting vintage items, and creating crafts from jewelry to needlework.

Pamela is survived by her children David K. Baggs of Boston, MA, Jennifer Baggs of Belmont, MA and brother Scott P. Nason of Salisbury, MA.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation on Tuesday, October 1 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St., Bradford. Her Funeral will be Wednesday, October 2 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Bradford.
