North Andover - North Andover - Nicole M. Ousler, 55, surrounded by family and loved ones, passed away peacefully at Lawrence General Hospital on September 8, 2025, following complications of an unexpected cardiac event.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on July 26, 1970, she moved to North Andover, MA with her family in 1971. Nicole was a graduate of the Pike School in Andover and Lawrence Academy in Groton, MA, where she was also an accomplished soccer and volleyball player. She continued her education at Salve Regina University in Newport, RI, where she earned BA and MA degrees in criminal justice.

After graduating, Nicole worked in the Clerk's Office of the Newburyport District Court before transitioning to lead the School Safety Department for Lawrence Public Schools. She proudly and passionately served the school community in this role. A fierce and nonjudgmental protector, Nicole cared greatly for children and was deeply empathetic to the struggles some face in their youth. Following her work in Lawrence schools, she brought this passion to a therapeutic setting, where she worked as a juvenile social worker and counselor for children and teenagers in court-ordered care. Nicole later worked multiple years at a family law firm in the greater Lawrence area. She subsequently owned and operated Neat Repeats, an upscale women's consignment store, in Groveland, MA. She had an easy smile and ready, infectious laugh, and many of her customers became her friends.

Nicole was a radiant person whose love and energy could turn heads and brighten any room. She grew up spending summers with her close-knit family at Lake Winnipesaukee, enjoying countless hours swimming, boating, and waterskiing. She also loved the beach, particularly Plum Island in Newburyport, and spent many summer days in the sunshine and salty air. With Brian Wise, her loving partner of 18 years, Nicole enjoyed many weekends cheering on the Patriots or visiting favorite spots along the Maine coast and elsewhere around New England. She lived her life for her family and loved ones. From the moment her first nephew was born, Nicole was a beloved and devoted Auntie; nothing brought her pride and joy like her nine nieces and nephews, who have keen memories of shopping trips, outdoor play, sleepovers, and reaping the benefits of her mantra, "Auntie never says 'No!'"

Nicole is survived by her mother Deanna Ousler; sister, Kristen Sanchez and her husband Frank, sister Heidi Lang and her husband, Bryson, and brother, George Ousler III and his wife Ingrid; long-time partner, Brian Wise; and nieces and nephews Frankie, Nicholas, and Lauren Sanchez, Oliver and Yvette Lang, and Ilsa, Georgie, Kristjan, and Alina Ousler. She was predeceased by her father, Dr. George Ousler Jr., uncles Joseph and Robert Mannix, and aunt, Margaret Mannix.

Visiting hours will be held Monday, September 15, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third Street, North Andover, MA. A funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at St. Michael Church, 196 Main Street, North Andover, MA. The Mass will be followed by burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Newburyport, MA, where she will be laid to rest with three prior generations of family.
