South Hampton - Nancy F. Dixon, 93, of Chase Road died peacefully on May 23, 2022 at her residence in South Hampton.

Born April 8, 1929 in Salisbury, MA, she was the daughter of Paul and Laura (Eaton) Bickford.

She married Elwood "Red" Dixon in 1954 and in 1956 they started EN Dixon Co. Inc. which they owned and operated for many years. She also worked at CBS Hytron.

Nancy served and volunteered in many capacities for the Town of South Hampton; they include serving as Town Clerk, School District Treasurer, Zoning Board Member, Library Treasurer, and Library Trustee. She was a member of the Friends of the South Hampton Library, the Ladies Fellowship and the South Hampton Baptist Church. Nancy also belonged to the John Greenleaf Whittier Home and volunteered at Bargain Box and Our Neighbors Table in Amesbury, MA.

Predeceased by her husband, Elwood N. Dixon who died in 1983; and her siblings Dorothy Bradley, John Bickford, Lois Eaton, and Larry Bickford; and her grandson Paul Stoddard.

Survivors include her daughter, Beth Dixon and her children, Brennan Stoddard and Rachel Stoddard of South Hampton; her granddaughter, Tiara Flanders and her husband Nate of Newmarket; her great-granddaughter Vera Flanders of Newmarket; her son, her grandson and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 27th at 11 a.m. at the South Hampton Baptist Church, 10 Jewell Street, South Hampton, NH. Prior to the mass the family will receive friends and family from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in South Hampton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Nancy's name to the South Hampton Public Library 3 Hilldale Avenue, South Hampton NH or the South Hampton Baptist Church 10 Jewell Street, South Hampton, NH.
