Amesbury - MaryTheresa (Little) King, formerly of Billerica and Brookline, passed away peacefully at her home in Amesbury on April 19th.

A graduate of Somerville School of Nursing and Boston College, MaryTheresa dedicated her career to caring for others. She worked for many years at Amesbury Hospital and, following its closure, continued her service with the VNA.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Donald G. King, Sr., her parents, Martin F. and Margaret J. Little; and her brothers, James F. and Monsignor Richard P. Little.

MaryTheresa is survived by her loving children: Donald G. King Jr. and his wife Alice of Sanbornville, NH; Karen King of Amesbury, MA; and Richard King of Salisbury, MA.

She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Nicole Clark, Jessica Bemis, Autumn King, and Shane King. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Aiden, Sophie and Montana as well as many beloved nieces and nephews who treasured every moment spent in her company.

MaryTheresa loved traveling, reading, walking, and spending time with her many friends. Above all, she treasured every opportunity to gather with the people she loved most.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.

Calling hours for MaryTheresa will be held this coming Monday April 27 from 8:30-10:00 am at the E.V. Jutras & Sons Funeral Home 118 Friend St. in Amesbury followed by a 10:30 mass at St. Andre Bessette Parish Church 2 School St. in Amesbury. Burial to follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
