Portsmouth, NH - Marjorie T. Keeler, 95, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at The Edgewood Centre in Portsmouth.
Born April 12, 1923 in White Plains, N.Y., she was the daughter of Theodore and Alice (Beckley) Taylor. She graduated from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, N.Y. with a BS in Nutrition. She volunteered with the Red Cross during World War II.
She was a member of the Rowley Congregational Church and Lee Church Congregational. She was a life member and past president of the Lee Historical Society.
Marjorie was active with family enjoying hiking, camping, and skiing. Socially her and James enjoyed attending Barnstormers square dancing and entertaining progressive dinners, as well as the annual Keeler family clambake for over 40 years.
She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, James H. Keeler Jr. who died in 2010, her brother, Ted Taylor, and sister Alice Acker.
Survivors include four children, James H. Keeler III and wife, Regina, Kathryn K. Hampe and husband, Robert, Richard B. Keeler and wife, Jo Ann, David A. Keeler and wife, Sandra; grandchildren, Christopher J. Keeler, Jennifer L. Keeler, Joel S. Hampe, Jason C. Hampe, Lauren E. Keeler, Ryan J. Keeler, Bethany M. Taylor, Bradley G. Keeler; great-grandchildren, Scott Keeler, Angela Moore, Elizabeth Morris, Rebecca Morris, Jason J. Hickman, Lilly J. Hickman, Kati Barnhardt, Chelsea Barnhardt; great-great-grandchildren Daniel, Jackson and Benjamin Moore; step-great-grandchildren, Samantha Raymond, Gabriel Raymond.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, February 1 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Kent & Pelczar Funeral Home, 77 Exeter Road (Route 108), Newmarket, NH.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 2nd at 11 a.m. at Lee Church Congregational, 17 Mast Road, Lee, NH.
Spring burial will take place in Lee Hill Cemetery, Lee.
