Amesbury, MA - Marilyn M. Duncan (Yukob), age 88, of Amesbury, died Monday, November 4, at the Merrimack Valley Health Center in Amesbury after a brief illness.

Born in Boston, March 1, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Myrtle (Crowley) Yukob and was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Lynn, Massachusetts.

Marilyn spent her life dedicated to her children and grandchildren. She was always grateful with what she had, and did not dwell on material goods. Growing up, her young children were always well-groomed and reminded of proper manners and being truthful. Her way was the old school way taught by her Russian immigrant father. She was proud of her heritage, to also include her mother's side, from which she was a direct descendant from the Mayflower.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Duncan was predeceased by her ex-husband, Richard E. Duncan; as well as her brother, Richard P. Yukob. Her survivors include her son, Richard P. Duncan and wife Roberta of Peoria, Ill; daughter Diane Mathieu of Amesbury; daughter Deborah Millette and husband Robert of Amesbury; and daughter Dana Platt of Long Beach, California; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She will be truly missed by her family.

Funeral services and burial will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Tough Warrior Princess, 108 Main Street, Amesbury, MA 01913.
