Judith B. MacLean Obituary

Seabrook - Seabrook - Judith B. MacLean, 85, of Seabrook, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.

Judith was born in Amesbury, MA, on June 7, 1940, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Jane (Souther) Collins. She was raised in Salisbury, MA, and was a graduate of Amesbury High School, Class of 1958. Following high school, she attended Burdett College where she studied to become a secretary.

In 1957, Judith met the love of her life, Richard "Dick" MacLean. They were married in 1961 and settled in Salisbury to raise their family. Together, they built a life rooted in hard work and dedication, both in their home and in their business. Dick worked as an auto mechanic at Simmie's Garage, where Judith often helped out behind the scenes. In 1983, they became the proud owners of the business and continued to serve their community until retiring in 2000.

In addition to family business, Judith also worked as a secretary at the Salisbury Police Department, eventually retiring as the secretary to the Chief of Police.

After retirement, Dick and Judith embraced the snowbird lifestyle, splitting their time between Barefoot Bay, FL, and Seabrook, NH. Judith was a member of the Red Hat Society while in Florida and enjoyed many friendships and social gatherings.

A woman with a great sense of humor and love for fun, Judith enjoyed family poker nights and playing bingo. Her earlier years were spent attending the Salisbury Methodist Church.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving daughter, Tamera Saracy and her husband Stan; her grandchildren, Richard Saracy and his wife Bacall, and Ashley Gray and her husband Nate; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Sadie Saracy, Lucas Gray, and Shane Saracy. She is also survived by her sister, Jill Atherton and her husband Stephen; her late brother's partner, Diane Souther; her nieces, Jessica Corkum and her husband, Bob and Shelley Wilson; and her nephew, Dana Atherton and his wife, Jana.

In addition to her parents, Judith was predeceased by her brother, Randell Collins.
