Newburyport - Joseph W. Willman, age 90, of Newburyport, passed away August 25, 2026, at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, one month shy of his 91st birthday.

He was born in Haverhill on Sept. 25, 1935, son of the late Joseph and Dorothy E. (Smith) Willman. He graduated from Haverhill Trade School in 1954 before serving in the Army & Army Reserves from 1957 until 1963. He worked at the former Western Electric in North Andover, retiring in 1993. He met his beloved wife Agnes (Arzoonian), the best thing that ever happened to him, during his time there. Her extended family was very dear to him, and he remembered all their time together fondly. His beloved Agnes passed away in 1994.

He was a member of the Masonic Order since 1983 and served as the Master of the Merrimack Lodge in Haverhill, a member of the North End Boat Club, and a lifetime member of the Haverhill Hound Rod & Gun Club.

Joe is survived by his daughter, Sara and her husband, Derek Laplante, and his cherished grandsons Hayden and Griffin. He was predeceased by his extended family of in-laws: Michael and Mary Kentopian, Michael and Frances Arzoonian, and James and Margaret (Peggy) Mahoney.

His daughter Sara thanks the compassionate staff at High Pointe House for the amazing care they provided Joseph during the last month of his life.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Monday, Aug. 31st from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St., his funeral service will follow at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be in the Elmwood Cemetery, Bradford.
