Georgetown - Georgetown - John Robert Lynch, 72, of Georgetown, MA, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2025, at Brigham & Women's Hospital, Boston, surrounded by family. Born in Camp Lejeune, NC, he grew up in North Reading, MA. John graduated from Bridgewater State College, where he met his beloved wife Gina, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage. John dedicated 42 years to North Shore Technical High School/Essex Tech as a physical education teacher, coach, and athletic director, mentoring countless students. He also spent 33 summers at Crane Beach, as EMT, assistant beach manager and lifeguard supervisor. A passionate musician, he played guitar in the band Strange Brew. He is survived by his wife, Gina; sons, Corey (Danielle) and Christopher (Amanda); step-grandson, Jasper; grandsons, Tristan and Beckett; sisters, Barbara Donaldson and Nancy Lamontagne; nephew, Michael Donaldson; nieces, Sarah and Heather Lamontange; and many cherished friends.
