Joan was a former member of Ipswich Garden Club and had volunteered at the Ipswich Visitors Center. In recent years, Joan and her husband lived in Salisbury and Venice, FL.

She leaves her husband of 57 years, V. James DiFazio; two children, Maryann D. Clark and her husband Duncan of Salisbury, and Robert J. DiFazio and his wife Joy of Amesbury; five grandchildren: Kelly DiFazio, Niall Difazio, Austin Clark, Amy Clark, and Shea DiFazio.

She is also survived by a twin brother, John A. Cornforth of Virginia Beach, VA, and sisters Noreen Brennan of Danvers and Maryann Morrissey of Salem; as well as many brothers-and-sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org).
