Salisbury - SALISBURY, MA - Joan Bureau, of Salisbury, Ma passed away on Friday evening April 17TH, 2026 in Naples, Fl. following a brief illness. Joan was born in Lowell, Ma, a daughter of the late Thomas and Dorothy (Connor) Callary. She was also the loving daughter of Katherine (Brine) Callary. She attended Lowell Public Schools and graduated from Lowell High School.

Joan was a loyal employee of the Department of Environmental Protection for the State of Massachusetts for 20 years. Upon her retirement, she moved to Salisbury, Ma where she volunteered her time at Leeward Industries, was employed at Visiting Angels and became a devoted member of the Daisies where she shared a special bond with wonderful group of ladies. Joan's gift was reaching out and lifting others she met along her path. She adored her family and friends and was always ready to have a cup of coffee and conversation. Joan loved being close to the beach both in Salisbury and Naples, Fl. and cherished her time in both places.

Surviving Mrs. Bureau are her children, Karen Bureau and her fiancé Randall Zuverino of Merrimac, Ma., her beloved son Michael Bureau of Dorchester, Ma., the joy of her life, granddaughter Marissa Masson of Lowell, Ma., loving niece, Shauna Werner of Salisbury, Ma: and several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends, especially Maura Linskey of Wells, ME, and Dottie Bowles of Arlington, MA, and longtime friend, Cindy Morin of Lowell. Joan was the sister of the late Joyce (Callary) Gilligan and Robert T. Callary.

A celebratory mass will be held on Saturday May 16th at 10:00 AM at Saint Michael's Church located at 543 Bridge Street, Lowell, Ma, 01850. Private burial. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to www.breathewithmd.org
