Jeannette R. Nadeau Obituary

Amesbury - Amesbury - Jeannette Rolaine (Belanger) Nadeau, 96, found her peace on Monday, May 26, at the home of one of her son's and daughter-in-law, Denis and Helen. A home her late husband had originally helped build. She was born in Amesbury, MA, and was the daughter of the late Edmund Belanger and Yvonne Pineault. She lived her entire life in Amesbury, a town that has her heart. She worked at Ruth Shoe, in Newburyport for 12 years until she left to raise her family. Married to her beloved late husband, Roger A. Nadeau Sr., for 70 years. They first found love spinning around on the roller-skating rink together with friends and family.

She enjoyed visits from her family, friends and neighbors, sharing stories of her life, all while feeding everyone. She loved to see her children and be involved with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's lives. She always made sure you left the house with a full heart and stomach. In between cooking she was found in her chair knitting the newest arrival a hat or sweater or working on the blanket of the day. Her kitchen table was sure to be full on days she made her famous sweet and sour chicken, her spaghetti sauce or a batch of her delicious "spetz". From time at the pool, to a Thanksgiving feast, grandchildren sleep overs, Sunday night cards to the Sunday before Christmas, she was happiest when the house was loud and crowded and she could still be heard over everyone.

She is predeceased by her husband Roger Nadeau Sr. Siblings; Rita Soucy, Lucille Kitchen, Lillian Pryer, Bobby, Raymond and Edmund Belanger and Pauline Mushow and her grandson Drew Doucet. She is survived by her 7 children, Roger Jr, Denis and his wife Helen, David and his wife Anne, Richard and his wife Dorothy, Ronald and his wife Terry, Steve and his wife Michelle, Paula and her husband Ron. Her siblings Rene Belanger and Marge Reslewic. Her 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren with one on the way.
