North Hampton - North Hampton - Jean Marie Osgood, of North Hampton, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Exeter Hospital. She was 90 years old. She is a member of the Rye Congregational Church, Rye, NH.

Born in Amesbury, Massachusetts on February 24, 1935, Jean was the daughter of the late Lionel and Evelyn (Gurney) Boutin. Raised and educated in Amesbury, Jean attended Amesbury High School, she left her sophomore year to go to work to help support her family when her parents had fallen ill. She became a top stitcher and during her top stitching career she worked in many of the local shoe factories such as Louis Shoe, Stride Rite, Nike and Allen Shoe. It was the shoe shop where she met her first husband William W. Vine, they married and settled in Amesbury, MA where they built their first home and started their family.

Jean is survived by her children, Cheryl Nichols and her husband Paul of Hampton Falls, William W. Vine II and his wife Cheryl of Fremont, Amber Hafford and her husband Jeffrey of Haverhill, MA and Marguerite Parkman of Danvers, MA. Jean is survived by her sister, Priscilla Motsis, of Florida, her 8 grandchildren, Heather, Kevin, Eric, Jason, Ashley, Dustin, Jeffrey Jr., Myles, and 9 great grandchildren, Sophia, Raegan, Mercedes, Brody, Blake, Kayla, Kacie, Meredith, and Luke.

In addition to her parents, Jean is predeceased by her husband William W. Vine and her siblings, Armand Boutin and Geraldine LaRue.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Jean with a memorial service at the Rye Congregational Church, Rye, NH on May 31, 2025, at 11am, with light lunch served directly following the service downstairs.
