Jean Ann Morrison Obituary
Seabrook - Seabrook, NH – Jean Ann (Valli) Morrison passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on June 10, 2026, at her daughter's home in Seabrook, New Hampshire.
Born on February 10, 1928, in Newburyport, Massachusetts, Jean was the daughter of the late Francis Sr. and Beatrice (Goodrich) Valli.
She was predeceased by her husbands, Lawrence Dobson in 1945 and Stanley Morrison in 1986; her brothers, Francis Valli Jr., John Valli, Robert Valli, and Richard Valli; her daughters, Julie Dobson Bridges and Nancy Dobson Danielson; her stepson, David Morrison; David's son, Corey Morrison; and her granddaughter, Debra Bridges-Cooper.
She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne (Goodwin-Morrison) Griggs; her son, Lance Morrison; her stepson, Charles Morrison; grandchildren Genessa Eaton Carrillo, Robert Morrison, Bruce Bridges Jr., Michael Bridges, Lee Danielson Jr., Leanne Danielson Plummer, Julie Danielson Carey, and Jennilee Danielson Hale; step-grandsons Derek Morrison and Read Morrison; her niece, Frances Valli Eaton; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
For many years Jean worked alongside her husband in his business, Link's Lock Shop in Newburyport, Massachusetts. She was a woman of few words, but despite her quiet nature, Jean was an avid reader. She especially loved true crime and read everything written by Anne Rule. She was equally fascinated by the Kennedy family—if there was a book or biography about "Camelot," she had to read it.
Jean had a bit of a daredevil streak. She never backed down from a challenge. At her favorite campground in North Conway, she once accepted a dare to swing from a rope and jump straight into the Saco River without hesitation. And at age 81 she climbed onto a water tube behind a boat on Thompson Lake with her grandchildren, shouting, "Faster!" as they skimmed across the water.
Then there was the time she decided she would swim out to the island on Sunrise Lake—while wearing a terrycloth dress—which quickly led to what can only be described as a family intervention.
Oh, the stories we can tell... and how lucky we are to have them.
