Hampton - Jane M. (Jendraszek) Whitmore passed away peacefully on August, 31, 2026 at Port Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Newburyport, MA. Jane was the wife of the late Leonard "Skip" Whitmore.

Jane was born in Salem, MA on July 16, 1944 to the late Joseph and Irene (Viger) Jendraszek. After graduating from Salem High School in 1962, Jane married Leonard Whitmore in 1967 and raised a family while moving to Buffalo, NY, Hadley, MA and finally settling in Byfield, MA in 1974.

In addition to working with her husband managing the Montgomery Ward store in Newburyport during the 70's and 80's, Jane received her real estate license in 1988 working as real estate agent in Amesbury, MA for several years. In the early 2000's Jane worked at Seabrook Elementary School as a teacher's aide for special education students.

Jane was a talented painter and designer who enjoyed painting watercolors in her early years. She loved to entertain, frequently hosting family and friend gatherings and enjoyed cooking including her world class chocolate chip cookies. Jane was always the life of the party and even later in life when her speech was limited, she continued to delight those around her with her vivacity and sassiness.

Jane along with her husband Skip, raised a family including the late Thomas Whitmore of Amesbury, MA, the late Charles Whitmore of Hadley, MA, Dianne Law and her late husband, Richard; Laura Whitmore and her husband, Joe Sexton, Scott Whitmore and his wife Hazira all of Hampton, NH

She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Leslie Rogers and grandchildren Krystle, William, Leo, Kristen and Nancy Evans and Adam and Charlie as well as her great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Jane was the sister of the late James and Robert Jendraszek.

Jane and her irrepressible laugh and love of life will be dearly missed.
