Newburyport - Jane Brooks, 82, of Newburyport, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2026, at Advinia Care. She was a native of Newburyport, graduated from Kelly Grammar School, Newburyport High School and received her R.N. from Salem Hospital School of Nursing. Jane was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. In her professional career, she worked at Salem Hospital for 30 years, after retirement she continued working for several area nursing homes and Visiting Angles. She was predeceased by her parents Walter E. Brooks and Doris A Austin, her brother Walter. She is survived by her cousin Frank Currier and his wife Dolores of North Carolina.

At Jane's request there are no public services, with private burial at Highland Cemetery, Newburyport.
