Dear Ann, I am so sorry to hear (from Eleanor Paciulan) about Jim's passing.
When Jay first brought me to the United States he was so proud to introduce me to his good friends Jim Leonard, Dan Healey and Paul Kellett. I remember so many outings to the beach, boat rides and parties in the basement. It was an amazingly close bond these friends had. I will never forget that Jim flew to Houston, Texas, in June 1991 to be Jay's pallbearer and a great comfort to me and my children.
From experience I know the heartache you are now feeling, Ann. However, I also know that grief and sorrow will fade in time but the happy memories you hold in your heart will last forever.
Please accept my si
...ncere sympathy on the loss of your beloved Jim, and know that I will keep you and your family close in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

Dear Ann:
Just heard of your loss via a phone call from Ann Arcidiano and want you to know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Jim was a great guy in so many ways and of course shared so much about jazz and performers you've seen. In fact, he introduced us to Tamir Hendelman many years ago who remains to be our favorite pianist to this day, thanks to Jim.
We wish to extend our deepest and sincere condolences to you and your family during this difficult time.
Sincerely. Jan and Lou Yelle

He was a kind and wonderful man, engaging intelligent and warm. I am so sorry for your loss, but so happy you spent so many wonderful years together! Love Kathi
