Jacqueline Moore Hutchinson Obituary

NEWBURYPORT - Jacqueline Moore Hutchinson "Jakey" passed quietly on the night of Christmas. She was born December 9, 1948, in Lynn Massachusetts as the second twin and the 5th out of 9 children. She and her family relocated to Marlboro St, Newburyport when she was a teen.

If you knew her, you know she was a spirited and feisty woman who remained so until the end. Jakey loved cats and rescued more than can be counted, even volunteering at a shelter in Florida. She enjoyed living near her sister Jeanne in Idaho, watching the Antiques Roadshow, the ocean and sunning on the beach. As a young adult she contracted "Guillain-Barre Syndrome" and was hospitalized for three months. They advised her from the massive nerve damage in her legs that she would never walk again, but ever tenacious, she did. One of her favorite memories was the trip with her beau Ed to Niagara Falls in the summer of 93.

She is survived by four of her sisters: Barb Hutchinson, Jeanne Gaouette, Sally Zinc and her twin, Evelyn Gaouette. Her three children, Michael Gaouette, Jennifer Hogg and Sarah Galvin. Eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren and three cats. She told me near the end that she lived the life she wanted and accomplished everything she wanted to and more. May she rest in peace with her parents Philip and Katherine Hutchinson and siblings; Philip Jr, Bonnie, Alan, and Sharon who have gone before her. In lieu of flowers, please consider adopting a stray cat as she would have done or donating to your local shelter.
