Hisako "Pat" (Okimura) Jarvis, age 86, died Thursday, September 8, 2016, with her family by her side, at Port Rehabilitation in Newburyport. She was the loving wife of Donald R. Jarvis. She was born in Japan to the late Kiyomatsu and Sato (Watanabe) Okimura.
Pat was a talented seamstress for many years. She was a strong, independent women who enjoyed gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Surviving her is a daughter, Catherine Jarvis and her husband, Rick Johnson of Byfield; three sons, Michael Jarvis and his wife, Donna of Haverhill, Gordon Jarvis and his wife, Laurie of Newbury, and Robin Jarvis and his wife, Valeri of Gilmington, N.H.; one brother in Japan; sixteen grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot St., Beverly on Saturday at 12 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be held privately.
