Gloria J. Warcewicz Obituary

Seabrook - Seabrook - Gloria J. Warcewicz, 80, of Seabrook, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 10, 2024 surrounded by family. She was born April 13, 1944 a daughter of the late Harold and Ruth (Packer) Heywood.

She was a dedicated homemaker and babysitter for over 65 years. She was always caring for some family or friends throughout her life.

She enjoyed music, especially Elvis Presley, church dinners, playing cards, family and friends and dancing at the Raymond E. Walton American Legion Post #70 in Seabrook. She loved her time living in Newburyport, everything from spending time on her homes stoop with family members and friends in the summer months, going to Yankee Homecoming, which was a yearly event and the free concert series which she especially enjoyed and eating ice cream.

She shared 22 years of marriage with her late husband, Joseph Warcewicz who predeceased her in 1994.

Surviving family members include her daughter, Joey Capozzi and her husband Joseph; grandchildren, Bailey, Alyssa, Grace, AJ, and Luke Capozzi, Joseph Warcewicz and his wife Anna, Abigail Gafraidh and her husband Corey; great grandsons, John and Aiden Warcewicz; siblings, Joanne Yoho, Robin Kane and her husband Leroy, Nancy Heywood, Herbert Heywood and Paul Heywood and his wife Bonnie. She is also survived by her three stepchildren that she helped raised for a few years, Robert Warcewicz and his wife Sugie and their son, Joseph Warcewicz and his wife Anna and their daughter Abigail Gafraidh and her husband Corey, Nancy Rooney and her husband Robert and their children, Rachel and Michael Rooney and Adam Warcewicz and his wife Kyle.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Eric Warcewicz; siblings, Marianne Egnew, Diane Heywood, Charlotte Eaton, Margret Pilon, Cindy Earl, June Bragdon, Sally Patrick, Harold Heywood and Ruth Flanagan.

The last family she took care of and adored were Kerry and Troy Olofson and their children, Brydie, Shea and Ailey. She spent a lot of time caring for this family and enjoyed every minute of it. They considered her an angel and a blessing to their family, and I am certain Gloria felt the same way.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home, 811 Lafayette Road. Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 in the Old Hill Cemetery, Newburyport.
