West Newbury - Geraldine Ethelyn Morgan Hull, 93, affectionately called Geri, departed her loving family on November 26, 2021, at the High Pointe House in Haverhill, MA. She was born November 27, 1927, in South Portland, ME, daughter of the late Carl Leon Morgan and Bertha Flint (Gray) Morgan.
Geri grew up in Weston, MA, and graduated from Weston High School. She attended Mount Ida Junior College in 1946 and 1947. She received her MA Librarian Certification from Harvard. Geri worked multiple departments at the Haverhill Public Library where she served as librarian, treasurer and secretary to the Board of Trustees. She graduated from Credit Union Management School at the University of New Hampshire in 1973. She was the proud Treasurer-Manager of the Louise E. Mills Federal Credit Union, formerly named Pioneer Mass Federal Credit Union. She renamed it in honor of its founder, Louise E. Mills. There she worked tirelessly to educate and facilitate teachers, municipal workers and their families to save wisely and borrow even wiser. Her passion was empowering people with their money so they would enjoy a financially stable life.
She was always smartly dressed. She lit up every room she walked into and you were instantly taken by her and drawn to her. She always gave to others before herself. Geri was well loved and will be greatly missed.
She was multi-talented, including wiring the barn on Garden Street in West Newbury. She was a ballet dancer, loved to hike the White Mountains, especially Chocorua. She was an avid sailor at the American Yacht Club in Newburyport where she won many races. She loved all animals, especially horses. She was an incredibly talented oil paint artist. She loved the out of doors and enjoyed bird watching, so much that she often frightened her son and daughter driving off the road looking at the birds. She and her husband enjoyed their passion for classical music, especially, Bach, Brahms and Beethoven in which Lewis would often play the organ or the piano at church and other events. She enjoyed the BSO and the Boston Ballet. She loved traveling and going on cruises. She enjoyed taking her family on trips and was especially elated to take her husband, son and daughter to Europe.
Geri was predeceased by her loving husband, Lewis John Hull who died in September 2000.
Geri is survived by her daughter Heather Morgan Hull-Colby and her husband Scott of Amesbury, MA; son Geoffrey Van Dorsen Hull and his wife Mary of Danbury, CT; one grandson, Justin Blanchard of York, PA; one great-granddaughter, Cameron L. Blanchard Hull.
