Fred Ernest Ramsey III Obituary

Seabrook - Our dad, Fred Earnest Ramsey III, made life more fun.

It feels fitting to remember him with this photo from our last annual trip together, where my sister and I dressed him as Popeye—playful, unforgettable, and always game for anything.

Dad passed away on June 12, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of laughter, adventure, and love for his family.

Born in Dunbarton, New Hampshire, he also lived in Seabrook, New Hampshire; Fort Myers, Florida; and Milford, New Hampshire. Wherever he went, he brought his love of the outdoors, camping, humor, and fun-loving limericks.

Dad proudly served in the United States Coast Guard and later ran the fish market at Hilton's Dock in Newburyport, Massachusetts, alongside his beloved wife, Kathy Hilton Ramsey, who passed away in 2017. He was known for his hard work and for making people feel welcome.

He loved camping, exploring, and making ordinary moments memorable. We will always cherish his warmth, mischievous spirit, and ability to make people laugh. He leaves behind his children, Monica Welsh (Sean), Blake Ramsey (Judy), and Deanne Carr (Rick); his grandchildren, Molly, Samantha, Chelsea, Mitch, and Madison; his great-granddaughters, Aubrey, Ava, and Lucia; and his beloved dog, Bonnie. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the laughter and love he brought into the world.Arrangements: A private memorial is planned. Contact the family through Facebook for more information.
