Amesbury, MA - Esther M. Pouliotte, 96, of Amesbury, Mass., passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on October 4.
Esther was born and raised in Amesbury. She married Edward Pouliotte in 1947. Together they ran a business, Granite State Frosted Foods in Exeter and Portsmouth, N.H., for 45 years. They raised four children, enjoyed travel, and eventually retired to Florida and Wakefield, N.H. Nothing was more important to Esther than family. She enjoyed spending all her time with her children and grandchildren and her large extended family. She faithfully hosted a family reunion every summer for more than 60 years to get everyone together. Esther touched the lives of so many, she was loved and she will be missed by all.
Esther is survived by her sister, Anna Bradley, of Amesbury. Her children, Paula Hall of Amesbury, David Pouliotte and his wife Angie of Sanbornville, N.H., Michael Pouliotte of North Berwick, Maine, and Mark Pouliotte of Portsmouth, N.H. Her eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren; and a large extended family.
A wake will be held Tuesday, October 8, from 5 to 7 p.m., at E.V. Jutras & Sons Funeral Home, 118 Friend St., in Amesbury. Her funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 9, at the Holy Family Parish Church, 2 Schools St., in Amesbury. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph's Cemetery.
