Newburyport, Mass. - Our sweet rose, Erin (Ernestine) Mildred Walton, 80, of Newburyport, daughter of Mildred (Naimie) Walton, and Ernest T. Walton of Newbury died November 23rd after contracting COVID in rehab following arm surgery for a bad fall. Please pray that she continues to follow the light she shined so brightly for us with her beautiful smile, warm hugs, and infinite love and good cheer for all. She never stopped giving. She was pre-deceased by her sisters Geraldine Walton, Winnifred Stone, and Kathryn Mulcahy. She is survived by her loving daughter Melissa Ann Houlihan and her children William and Jonathan Rowan, and her son Michael T. Houlihan and his wife Elizabeth of Newbury, and their children Ashley, Emma, Connor, and Griffin. She was a graduate of Newburyport High School, a communicant of the Immaculate Conception and Star of the Sea and spent her retirement totally devoted to her grandchildren. She loved friends and family, gardening, travel, bridge, beach, theater, and music.
