Salem - Elizabeth, 75 of Salem, NH passed on November 18th in her home under the care of Amedisys Hospice after a courageous battle against Parkinson's disease. She was born December 27, 1949 in Everett, MA to Charles and Arlene McAveeney. After retiring from a 35 year career at Raytheon, Elizabeth obtained her law degree and then practiced law for years until her full retirement. Elizabeth loved to read, garden and spend her weekends up at camp on the lake in Maine with her husband of 53 years, Jerome Gosselin.
Elizabeth is survived by her loving husband Jerome Gosselin; her brother Charles McAveeney, her sisters Carol Bellavance and Joan McAveeney, nephews and nieces. She was loved by many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Arlene McAveeney and her brother Kenneth McAveeney.
Services will be held at Jutras Funeral Home 118 Friend St in Amesbury Monday 11/24/25 at 8:30am to 9:30am. After the wake there will be a mass at St Joseph Church of St Andre Bessette Parish 2 School St, Amesbury MA at 10:00am, the burial will be Bartlett Cemetery in Amesbury. After the cemetery there will be a mercy meal at St Joseph's Hall.
