Haverhill - Eleanor Louise (Bachand) Roy, 95 years of age, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026 (Mother's Day), at Haverhill Healthcare, Haverhill, MA.

Eleanor was born December 2nd, 1930, in Lynn, MA. to the late Odie and Louise Bachand. She was the youngest of two children (Robert Bachand), one of whom preceded her in death. Eleanor was educated in Lynn, MA at St. Jean's Parrish High School, graduating in 1949 second in her class.

Eleanor married the late Richard Roy in 1949 and lived and loved each other for over 60 years and raised three children.

In 2007, Eleanor was awarded the Certificate of Appreciation from the state of New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services for her outstanding performance and commitment to older adults at Service Link Resource Center. In 2008 Eleanor was awarded a Certificate of Recognition for her hard work, dedication, and compassion in providing extremely valuable services to the community. In April of 2015 another award for her work at The Homemakers Health Services. Awarded the Certificate of Loyalty for the help she gave to her favorite organization, Alzheimer's Association.

Eleanor leaves her three loving children, Robert Roy of Sarasota, FL; Dennis Roy of Rowley, MA., Richard Roy of Lancaster NH, 10 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
