Lynn - Mr. Earl C. Brewer, age 94, of Lynn, died on Wednesday evening, April 8, 2020.

Born in Lynn, he was a lifelong resident of the city, and was the son of the late Lloyd and Lydia (Covall) Brewer. He was the former husband of the late Doris (Gibbons) Brewer, and the longtime partner of the late Alice Armstrong.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII.

Earl was a tool and die maker and worked at the Knight Dyes Company of Brockton. He enjoyed window shopping shoe stores and looking at the results of his die work for shoes. He also enjoyed cooking and worked part-time as a short-order cook.

He loved to walk, loved baseball, loved horses (playing the horses), loved traveling to Canada and all over New England, loved his rides, and was a huge fan of Glenn Miller.

Earl was the father of Paul D. Brewer and his wife Claire of Seabrook, N.H., the late Robert C. Brewer, Thomas J. Brewer and his husband Christopher Steeves of Newburyport, Daniel E. Brewer and his wife Gail of Lynn, and Scott C. Brewer and his wife Renee of Salem, and was the brother of George Brewer and his wife Pat of Lynn, and of the late Evelyn McKay, Lloyd Brewer, Thomas Brewer and Roy Brewer. He also leaves 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
