Donald M. Brannelly Obituary

AMESBURY - Donald M. Brannelly, 46, of Amesbury, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2019, after a brave battle with cancer.

Donald was born in Medford, Massachusetts, on February 13, 1973. He graduated from Woburn High School and received his bachelor's degree from Salem State College. He was especially proud to earn an advanced degree in Entrepreneurship from Babson College's Olin Graduate School of Business.

He was an employee of Dell Technologies having traveled far and wide while working in marketing and business development. Donald treasured his free time and particularly enjoyed spending time with his family, watching his favorite hockey team, the Boston Bruins, coaching, and playing pick-up hockey games with his friends. He was a dedicated family man and often put his family first. He particularly loved watching his children enjoy their activities whether it be in a cold rink or a warm auditorium. His children were his greatest gift, inspiration, and a source of pride.

Donald is survived by his wife of 20 years, Karen (Petersen) Brannelly; and his two precious children, Katelyn and Owen. He also leaves behind his in-laws, David and Joan Petersen of Rowley; and many friends, especially his hockey buddies.

Contributions may be made in Donald's memory to MGH Development Office, ATTN: Heidi Bergmeyer, Brain Cancer Research Fund of Dr. Jorg Dietrich, 125 Nashua Street, Suite 540, Boston, MA 02114-1101. Arrangements by Driscoll Funeral Home, Haverhill. For guestbook, please visit www.driscollcares.com.
