Diane G. Tine Obituary

Haverhill - Diane G. Tine, 73, wife of Robert P. Tine, passed away peacefully February 8th, 2022 at Sutton Hill Center in North Andover, MA with her husband by her side.

Diane grew up in Newburyport, MA, Mother Margaret Harris and Father Henry Russell, both deceased.

She attended the public schools in town. She worked various jobs in her earlier years until she began her favorite employment with AT&T in North Andover. She met many new life long friends there through the years. She retired from Lucent Technologies in 2001.

Diane had a special talent for interior design and helped many people with their home décor. She was a natural handyman and did all the work herself including painting, wallpapering, woodworking, cabinet refinishing and any other odd jobs that were needed. All she wanted back was to see the smile on someone's face when the work was done. She would often ask her husband for tools as a birthday or Christmas present. Diane was adept at multitasking and would tire you out just watching her go about her day. She always worked hard but still found the time to enjoy herself as well.

She loved all animals and as a child would often bring home various strays to feed and care for.

She was a loyal follower of the Patriots and enjoyed hosting Super Bowl parties and attending a few championship celebrations over the years.

Diane's happiest of times were her many vacations with her husband to Hawaii, the Caribbean, California, Las Vegas, Florida and Cape Cod. Relaxing on the beach or by the pool and working on hertan was always her favorite pastime. Her best vacation may have been spending time on the set of General

Hospital during a live taping and meeting with all the shows stars in Hollywood, CA.

Diane was happiest decorating for the holidays and cooking for large gatherings of family and friends.

Cooking was a passion and she always welcomed everyone for pool parties on the weekend and made sure there was plenty of food and drinks available to all. We will neverforget Diane's concern that everyone was having a great time. Whatever you needed and wanted Diane would make sure it happened.

She was a parishioner of St. Michaels in North Andover for over 30 years.

Diane is fondly remembered and will be dearly missed by her husband Robert Tine, son Thomas Cook of Seabrook. NH, sister, Linda Perdue of Plaistow, NH, Uncle Melvin Russell of Groveland, MA, special cousins Donna Gamble of Washington, Bob Horn of Connecticut, niece, Deb Fredette of Merrimac, MA, along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother Alan Harris. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten by her mother-in-law, Carmella Tine and sister-in-law, Joyce Hamelin.

Donation may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association or the MSPCA. At the family's request services will be private. For online condolences please visit www.contefuneralhomes.com.
