Newburyport - Newburyport - David Scott Comeau of Newburyport, beloved special son of Priscilla and Richard Comeau, passed away peacefully after a brief illness, on July 16, 2025. His family was at his side.

David was a happy man with a great sense of humor and a happy laugh. He unconditionally loved everyone he met.

David enjoyed listening to music, especially Willie Nelson, Neil Diamond and Barbara Streisand. He also liked to watch baseball games and pro bowling and swimming in the family pool. A trip to Disney World was a special treat. Dave also spent 29 happy summers at "Camp" on Rattlesnake Island in Lake Winnipesaukee, where he enjoyed boating, swimming and just being there. Riding alongside the M.S. Mount Washington was an occasional fun outing.

David is survived by his cherished sister, Christina Harmon and her husband Randy, his niece Kayla Northrop and her husband Cassidee, nephews Zachary Harmon and fiancée Megan Jacques and Nicholas Harmon, his Uncle Robert Comeau of Amesbury, MA and his aunt Janice Urbanski and her husband John of Peabody, MA, as well as his 6 great-nephews – Kashton, Sullivan, Hudson, Mason, Bronson, and #6 baby boy due now, all of Buxton, ME. He is also survived by his dear friend, Richard Zuker.

Special thanks to Dr. Jonathan March, Dave's long-time physician who lovingly cared for David. Also, thanks to all the doctors and nurses who skillfully and devotedly cared for David during his final journey at Anna Jaques Hospital. And thank you "Gerry," you made us smile every day. A heartfelt thanks to everyone and anyone – too numerous to mention – who enriched his life these many years. God bless all of you.
