Newburyport - Newburyport - Cynthia Munroe Randall, 79, of Newburyport, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Akron, OH, on September 22, 1944, daughter of the late O. William and Kathryn H. (Toon) Sharp.
Educated in the Yankton (South Dakota) School System, she graduated from Yankton High School with the Class of 1962. She went on to receive a B.A in Government from Radcliffe, as well as a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Chicago. She taught in Chicago until moving to the East Coast to become a full-time homemaker. In 1978, the Kammermusik String Quartet began with Cynthia on the viola and continued playing until the late 1990s. She enjoyed reading and was an active member of book clubs all her life. Working in her yard and a love of growing flowers were also life-long passions.
Cynthia is predeceased by her husband, George Albert Randal IV who passed away in 2010, her daughter Jessica Louise Randall who passed away in 2023, and her brother Marvin Sharp.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Elizabeth Randall of Newburyport, Circe Kalcher of Hamburg, Germany who was a "daughter of the heart," as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her Memorial Service on what would have been her 80th birthday, on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at 1 p.m. in the H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St., Bradford. The service will be live streamed via the Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/share/Y2kqmeZ8CRmF3qE5/. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
