Clyde A. Fowler Jr. Obituary

Seabrook - Clyde A. Fowler Jr., age 83, of Seabrook, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport. He was the loving husband of Marjorie (Downer) Fowler.

Born in Newburyport, MA on November 19, 1942, Clyde was the son of the late Clyde Sr. and Edith (Dobson) Fowler. Raised and educated in Newburyport, he attended Newburyport High School class of 1961 where he met and fell in love with Marjorie. After graduating, Clyde worked for the Newburyport DPW and the Massachusetts Highway Department.

Outside of working, to say that Clyde was a car buff would be the understatement of the century. He had a tremendous passion for classic cars. He spent his time touring around with Marjorie attending car shows all over the Northeast often leaving with a first-place trophy. He was the past president of both the Clipper City and Granite State Corvette Clubs. He would also love watching Marjorie compete at New England Speedway. The two loved touring the mountains on Clyde's motorcycle. He was a devoted husband, brother, uncle and friend and he will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his wife, Clyde is survived by his brother William Fowler and his wife Marsha of Salisbury. He also leaves his seven nieces and nephews, Michael Fowler, Eileen Orosz, Kathryn Leary, Kevin Fowler, Steven Fowler, David Fowler, and Wayne Fowler, his rescue dog, Heidi and several great and great, great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, Clyde is predeceased by his brothers, Glen Fowler, Erford Fowler, as well as his niece Dawn Fowler and great nephew, Kaz Alexander.
