Newburyport, MA - Brenda L. (Heywood) Pecoraro, 76, of Newburyport, passed peacefully Sunday morning, October 6, 2019, at Port Healthcare Center in Newburyport, with her loving family at her side. She was the beloved wife of the late William D. Pecoraro, who died March 1, 2013.

Born in Newburyport, January 18, 1943, Brenda was one of 10 children of the late William C. and Dora E. (Carey) Heywood.

For many years Brenda ran her own cleaning business. In her spare time, she loved to play bingo, go shopping or relax while listening to music, her favorite being Elvis. Brenda's greatest joy of all was spending time with her grandchildren, who were so very close to her heart. She also enjoyed special gatherings with family and friends. Those were the memories she treasured so dearly.

She leaves behind her three daughters, Sandra Leonard and husband Timothy of Plum Island; Suzanne Anderson and husband Richard of Boxford and Lorry Vincent and husband Chad of Atkinson, N.H.; her four grandchildren, Timothy Leonard Jr., Kurtis Anderson and wife Robyn, Brooke Vincent and Blake Vincent; her three brothers, Glen Heywood, Robert Heywood and husband John, John Heywood and wife Chris; her two sisters, Susan Willard, and Gerry White and husband John; along with many nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her son, William Pecoraro, Jr.; her brothers, William Heywood and Richard Heywood; and her sisters, Janet Fowler and Shirley "Dolly" Mulvey.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, October 10, 2019, from 10 a.m., to 12 p.m. at Elliott, Woodworth & Rogers Family Funeral Home, 35 Green Street, Newburyport. Funeral services and burial at Belleville Cemetery, Newburyport, will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association, Mass. Chapter, 309 Waverly Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.

I just heard about the passing of my dear friend Brenda. I loved working with her at market basket. We had so many great memories that even know I smile or chuckle when I think of them and for that I am truly Grateful. You will be miss by so many. God bless The family in this sad time. 🙏❤️

Sandy , Susan and Laurie, So Sorry for your loss. She's finally at rest with Bill and her beloved Son. Her heart never healed after losing Billy.
Her girls lovely care for. My you find comfort in knowing she's no longer hurting.
