Dear Brian, Melanie and Heather,
As you may know, I moved to Tucson on September 10 and now live across the street from Dorothy in my own home, which David was able to buy for me. We have been sharing stories and memories about our two families when we all lived in Wayland and all of you kids were growing up. It's a great comfort at this sad time to have so many sweet memories of nature trips, short hikes, camping trips, trips to the ocean, walks through the woods, wading in ponds, and on and on. I am so glad I met your dear mother when I did, and we were able to share our lives for more than sixty wonderful years. Not many friendships last that long, but ours was strong and good. I ho to catch a plane and be there for her service in November. Loring wants to go with me, and I welcome that. Annie had a long and fruitful life, full of giving and caring. I was proud to be her friend, and I know you are proud to have her for a mom. Rest in peace, dear Annie. I will miss you, but I will keep the memories forever.

Love and Peace,
