Allen G. Fowler Obituary

Amesbury - Amesbury - Allen G. Fowler, 74, of Amesbury, MA, passed to his Heavenly home on Aug. 2, 2025. After a brief illness, he passed peacefully at his home.

Born in Newburyport to Edith (Wright) Brockelbank and Walter B. Fowler on Sept. 28, 1950, he was a 1969 graduate of Newburyport High School. He attended Gordon Cornwell Theological Seminary in Wenham,MA.

Allen was a counselor at Hope Community Church in Newburyport and previously worked as an electronics professional at Sears. He was an avid gardener and an accomplished musician.

He is survived by his widow, Jeanine (Ebacher) Fowler, daughter Renee Fowler of Byfield, grandson, Casey O'Brien,granddaughter Bridget O'Brien, and great-granddaughter, Adriana Rose Lord.

He is also survived by sisters Karen (Fowler) Murphy, Gayle (Fowler) Iwanicki and her husband Walter, and Deb Hay; his brothers, Timothy Fowler, and Edward Brockelbank and his wife, Dawn. He was predeceased by brothers, Walter, David, Tracy and Donald.

He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins, and sisters-in-law, Joan Chiasson, Janet Dardia, Judith Dykstar, Jill Rush and Juliette Ebacher, and brother in law Roger P. Ebacher.

In addition, Allen leaves behind a good many devoted friends.

Flowers will be appreciated by the family, or donations may be made to American Cancer Society or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Calling hours for Allen will be held this Thursday, Aug. 7, 2025 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the E.V. Jutras & Sons Funeral Home, 118 Friend St., Amesbury, MA. His funeral service will be held on Friday Aug. 8, 2025 at 11 a.m. at the Hope Community Church 11 Hale St. in Newburyport, MA. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery.
