Salisbury - Salisbury - Allan E. Scholtz, a lifelong resident of Salisbury, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on June 27, 1941, in North Andover, MA, Allan was the son of the late William Scholtz and Harriette (Gould) Wilson.
Throughout his life, Allan held a variety of roles that reflected his strong work ethic and diverse skills. He dedicated 30 years to General Electric in Lynn, MA, where he worked on aircraft engines. He also owned and operated Allan's Foundations from 1971 to 1977 and also enjoyed his work as a tow truck driver for Simmie's in Salisbury.
Allan found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved gardening, building and renovating with his sons, and spending time at the family camp on Rock Pond in Windham, NH. An enthusiastic fisherman and a familiar face at local breakfast spots, Allan cherished time spent with friends and community.
He is survived by his beloved partner and best friend, Pat Beevers of Salisbury; his children, Bill Scholtz and wife Kim of Salisbury, Rick Scholtz and wife Leslie of Plaistow, NH, and Allan Scholtz Jr. and wife Christine of Greenland, NH; his grandchildren, Ally, Ty, Adam, Tori, Avery Scholtz, and Rachael Pugliares and her husband Ryan; and one soon-to-arrive great-granddaughter. He also leaves behind his stepchildren, Lisa Lariviere and husband Peter of Newbury, and Kevin Pine of Lake Wales, FL; his sister-in-law Sam Scholtz of Salisbury; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, William D. Scholtz (2023).
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. A celebration of Allan's life will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Allan's memory to the Salisbury Hilton Senior Center, 43 Lafayette Road, Salisbury, MA 01952.
