Alice M. Peltier, 72, died July 23, 2016 at the Colonial Poplin Nursing Home in Fremont, N.H., with family at her side.

She was born December 4, 1943, in Newburyport, Mass., daughter of the late Francis C. Rogers and Bertha (Wawro) Rogers.

Alice grew up in Byfield and Newburyport, Mass. She was a graduate of Newburyport High School. Alice married John R. Peltier in the late 1970s and they resided in Newburyport, Mass., until 1989 when they moved to Newton, N.H. Alice worked for many years and retired as an assembler for Gould Shawmut Co. in Newburyport. She was later employed for a few years with the Rockingham VNA & Hospice, a position she greatly enjoyed.

Alice’s hobbies included fishing and doing puzzles. She greatly enjoyed gatherings and events with her family and friends.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, John R. Peltier in 2013, and a brother, Francis Rogers Jr.

Alice is survived by her two sons and their wives, Scott and Debbie Rogers of Raymond, N.H., Jim Rogers and Patricia Collins Rogers of Methuen, Mass.; two step-daughters and their husbands, Linda and Andy Garon of Berlin, N.H., and Julie and Joel Shepard of Nottingham, N.H.; a step-son, Scott Peltier of Kingston, N.H.; 11 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister and her husband, Bernadette and Albert Maliszewski of Newbury, Mass.; a brother and his wife, Anthony and Sandy Rogers of Merrimac, Mass.; a half-sister, Diane of Amesbury, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2016, at 11 a.m. at the Riverside Cemetery, Newmarket, N.H.
